2017 starts with a great news about the Gourmet offer of CastaDiva Resort & Spa: the partnership with Chef Enrico Derflingher as Consultant Chef of the Orangerie Restaurant to lead an exclusive series of Culinary events. Known as “The Royal Chef’, Enrico Derflingher has had a prestigious career whereby at the age of 27 years old, he became the first and only Italian to be employed as a Personal Chef to the British Royal Family following a long tradition of French cuisine. He then went on to spend time in the White House as Personal Chef to former President George W. Bush senior. He has also a strong presence on the Italian scene: from the opening and launch of the Terrazza at the Hotel Eden in Rome where he was awarded a Michelin star to receiving international recognition.
Located in the extraordinary setting of Lake Como, guests can indulge in CastaDiva’s new Gourmet experience led by Chef Derflingher and Massimiliano Mandozzi, Executive Chef of the Resort.

Thanks to his talent and expertise, Massimiliano Mandozzi will delight the most demanding palates enabling Guests to enjoy an unforgettable gastronomic experience and proposing a refined cuisine based on high-quality products combining Italian tradition, creativity and taste.

Overlooking the magnificent Lake Como, L'Orangerie restaurant offers a broad spectrum of popular and classic creations using the freshest products, most coming from the area, and prepared with particular focus on local traditions: pasta, bread, cakes and desserts are daily home-made. The Restaurant offers a Gourmet menu which is served only for dinner, together with refined and new tasting menus. The outdoor terrace with a spectacular view on Lake Como is open between May and September for your “al fresco” meals.
